Fairyheart is a fearless meditation on grief and human nature. The film asks what place humans have in this world they are busy destroying and innocently answers, from the point of view of a fairy boy with a human heart: “Maybe humans are just young fairies. We need time to grow.”

    • Synopsis
    • As the only fairy child for over thousands of years in the immortal fairy kingdom, Lala is fascinated by human children. But humans are a taboo subject, outlawed by the great wizard Aterpater, who believes they are dangerous and destructive and wants to put an end to their existence. To accomplish this, he must cut an ancient thread trying fairies to humans, thereby ending all remaining love in their hearts. Having met Bea, a deeply grieving, 12-year-old human, Lala is certain humans deserve to remain a part of nature. With the help of his unicorn goat, Lala will sacrifice his fairy heart to save his mother from Aterpater and restore the thread connecting the Fairy Kingdom to humans.
