- Synopsis
- On a remote island, an old man lives alone. His quiet life is spent by tending his yard and making things out of stuff he owns and what floats to the shore. Whenever a phone call from the ocean resonates throughout the island, he begins to make rice cake.
  One day, a fisherman visits him, and despite the old man’s warning, he braves the treacherous ocean. A few days later, his phone rings, and he begins making rice cake for the fisherman. This process repeats over and over again, but that doesn’t make each instance any easier.
  On an ordinary day, a huge maelstorm angers the ocean and his phone rings, but he does not answer. Rain begins to fall and he meditates. His phone rings yet again.
