    • Synopsis
    • Yiğit, who once married his first love Leyla and had a son with her, is now recently divorced. Seeking an escape from the emotional weight of the breakup, he decides to take his son, Onur, to the lake where he spent his childhood. From the start of their journey, Yiğit notices Onur arguing with his girlfriend on the phone. When asked what’s wrong, Onur admits they’ve broken up. A spontaneous moment of empathy forms between father and son, prompting Onur to ask why Yiğit and Leyla separated.

As Yiğit begins to explain, his mind drifts back to the first time he saw Leyla—by the lake, in the middle of a crowd, where she somehow stood apart. Lost in memory, he vividly relives that moment. Listening with subtle passive-aggression, Onur challenges his father: why didn’t he try harder to save the marriage? Yiğit wants to explain that he did, but past, present, and future blur together, drawing him back to the moment he said, “Let’s get divorced.” Regret floods him.

The journey goes on. Still uncertain whether to message his ex, Onur confesses he feels unsettled. This stirs another memory in Yiğit—the day he first saw Leyla. That afternoon, after returning home, time dragged slowly, and he felt restless, impatient to go back out.

As the road stretches ahead, Yiğit finds himself suspended between past and present, experiencing both at once. Onur remains unsure about sending the message. Eventually, they arrive at the lake of Yiğit’s childhood. In that moment, Yiğit encourages Onur to send it. At the same time, he recalls the moment he first told Leyla he loved her.

Spurred on by his father’s quiet push, Onur finally types and hits send. A bittersweet smile crosses Yiğit’s face. Just then, Onur receives a reply. As he reads it, Yiğit watches him and exhales deeply—caught between nostalgia and regret.
