Synopsis
The extraordinary true story of how two white South African freedom fighters attempted to break out of Pretoria Maximum Security Prison in 1978 - a white-only political prison dubbed 'the white-mans Robben Island'. Lead characters Tim Jenkin and Stephen Lee are joined by French inmate Leonard Fontaine who decide to send the Apartheid regime a clear message and escape using the most ingenious of escape methods - wooden keys. After months of surveillance and edge-of-your-seat trial runs, the three men craft replica keys for almost all of the steel doors of the prison, but as security tightens and suspicions close in, will they be able to make it out in time?
