Synopsis
Interior designer Nora Cartwright inherits her grand uncle Edmund’s English countryside estate. Hoping to make a quick sale to start her own design firm (and wanting to get some distance from her newly ex-boyfriend, Daniel), she travels across the pond to prepare it for sale. But upon arrival she finds the estate inhabited by Jamie Allen, the stuffy new owner of Edmund’s furniture company who refuses to let her sell. But Nora isn’t one to take things lying down. She also moves into the property, cleaning it, and showing it to perspective buyers. But Jamie always terrifies the buyers into leaving—convincing them that the place is entirely too unmanageable, and even haunted. As Nora fights for her claim on the estate, she finds herself drawn to charismatic Jamie. As their banter slowly turns to friendship, Nora isn’t sure what to think until her ex shows up, asking her to return with him to America. But Nora knows her future doesn't lie with Daniel, and Daniel leaves for America alone. This lovely piece of English countryside is her home now. That night, Nora tells Jamie that she doesn’t want to sell – she wants to stay! Jamie is ecstatic and leans in for a kiss. Nora realizes her true feelings for Jamie, and a few months later the two wed in a gorgeous ceremony on the estate, both now co-owners of the furniture company.
