- Synopsis
- In Zagreb, the Matesic family makes a living, working for the underworld. Each family member upkeeps the sense of secrecy, and an unspoken event is about to bind two brothers for life. Emil is the eldest, Stanko the youngest. They are fifteen and eleven years old respectively when Stanko, who is playing with a weapon Emil received as a gift, provokes an accident. He injures a farmer, who, hearing the shots, then threatens them. So as to escape their father's anger as they know he'll pin the blame on him, Emil Matesic commits murder.
