    • Synopsis
    • I grew up listening very little, reading lips. At 23 years old, as a result of hereditary and progressive hearing loss, I went deaf.
Even though my parents disagreed, I decided to have a cochlear implant surgery.
Soon after, my mom suddenly dies, and listening to her last Whatsapp voice notes brought back the memory of her voice and the sounds of my childhood.
That's when I became aware of all I had lost along with the sound, and I started to ask myself: How does a hearing-impaired hear?
