While I portray my father and our relationship in the countryside, I discover myself as the protagonist. The film moves along questioning the process of making the same film, exploring the difficulties and discoveries of telling a father-son bond so particular that it becomes universal.

    • Synopsis
    • At first, this film was supposed to be about my father, working in the countryside. The quiet hours in silence and those of tireless work. Go to bed early and get up at five in the morning to always find something to do. A slow and quiet life away from the city. Dad, so different from me and at the same time me, so far from that whole world. Visiting him and filming him in his surroundings made me question our remoteness, our disconnection.


      Thus, the film now enters into a rediscovery of our relationship. Narrating in the form of a personal diary part of my life in Montevideo in contrast to my father's experiences in the countryside. Reflecting a back-and-forth of mixed feelings between us and putting on the table not only the problems of getting closer to my father, but also the series of personal difficulties, of a sentimental nature, narrative decisions and even techniques to face such a personal and intrinsic project.
