- Synopsis
- Ivica Lovric, known as Münchner, is a twenty-year old who left Yugoslavia for Munich with his parents 16 years earlier and who has become completely integrated into the German community and environment. Ivica`s father is very attached to his homeland where he is putting the finishing touches to a house and motor repair shop he has built for his son. But Ivica has other ideas: he cannot understand his father and has no intention of leaving Germany. As the day of return draws nearer their differences grow into a sharp conflict. His retort to his father`s threats is to marry Hannelore. His father does not attend the wedding and in the middle of the ceremony Ivica goes to fetch him only to find he has committed suicide.
