- Synopsis
- 1905, Valparaiso is the most important port on the Pacific, commerce, vice, poverty and opulence are brutally demonstrated. After committing crimes in his native France, as well as in Bolivia and Colombia, Emile Dubois settles down in this bustling Chilean city. Soon after, and due to his financial needs as well as his social resentment, Emile assassinates the businessmen that have turned their backs on him. Public opinion is divided, the oligarchs condemn him, but the poor celebrate his homicides as acts of justice against the abuse of the loan sharks.
  Liniers, a tough cop who lost his wife and son, together with Victor, his protege, a shy but astute orphan, will hunt the killer down. But sometimes getting too close can be dangerous, especially after Victor falls in love with Ursula, the killer's Colombian lover.
  Immersed in magical Valparaiso of the early 1900's, we will retrace the footsteps of Dubois and his captors, to discover the vestiges of one of the most enigmatic characters in Latin American history.
