    • Synopsis
    • Marie and Valentí live in Paris with their two daughters, Emma and Inés. Marie is French and works as a teacher at a nursery school. Valentí is a Spanish architect. Their life is similar to that of any other middle-class family in a big city. They spend most of their time at work and with their families, with some personal leisure time. During a holiday at the Ebro River Delta, Valentí and Emma are in a car crash. Emma, their older daughter, dies. Valentí is in a coma for several days. When he comes out of the coma, Valentí recovers pretty well. There is only one lasting effect on his memory: he remembers everything about his former life except the existence of his deceased daughter. He remembers nothing about her. Not her birth or the moments they shared. Nothing. It’s as if Emma had never existed.
