    • The Glinka family is preparing for a celebration: Gleb and Liza’s 30th wedding anniversary. They have invited their closest friends over for dinner, and their sons have also come. Of course, Liza kept this day free, to spend it with her family. There’s just a few small tasks: to go to the foundation and receive weekly patients at Paveletsky railway station. But Doctor Liza’s days are always full of surprises.. .

      In a hospital on the outskirts of Moscow, a five-year-old girl is dying. The attending physician is obliged to discharge Eva from the hospital because according to a statute of the Ministry of Health, hospitals do not deal with hopeless cases. Because of pharmacy problems, the young cancer patient is without pain medication.

      The girl’s father asks Doctor Liza for help. Glinka has to find a way to relieve the girl’s unbearable pain. Having lost hope of getting the medicine legally, Elizaveta Glinka takes a pack of morphine from hospital supplies. The girl gets pain relief and calms down, but Doctor Liza comes to the attention of Major Kolesov of the Federal Drug Control Service...
