    • Synopsis
    • In the Logroño of 1959, Fabianito, an adolescent and apprentice poet, is a bewildered witness to the grotesque organization of the wake for his great-grandfather, Don Fabián, a former government employee and bullfighting enthusiast, who has spent his life savings on buying a television. Fabianito will discover love in these circumstances, while the family waits impatiently for the arrival of the mayor, in the hope that he will name Don Fabián “distinguished citizen”. Events and visitors will overwhelm the deceased’s family, already complicated enough, leading to comic and macabre situations.
