- Synopsis
- Tomás Choc is two days and 150 kilometres from seeing Lucía, his only living daughter. It’s been twenty years since she was kidnapped by the army during the Guatemalan conflict, she was three years old. Don Tomás kept a journal of his experience of struggle, resistance and survival so that his story would not be forgotten and in spite of the anguish of her absence he had hoped that one day he could give it to his daughter. This day has come. We follow Don Tomás on his journey towards the reunion with Lucía and we will be witness of how he must overcome the obstacles that destiny has created between them. Distance can be measured in geography, time, culture and even emotions when it comes to the human condition.
