    • The Factory aims at the emergence of new talents on the international scene, allowing young local and international filmmakers couples, to meet and create together.

      After Taiwan in 2013, Copenhagen and Helsinki in 2014, Chile in 2015, South Africa in 2016, Lebanon in 2017, Tunisia in 2018, Sarajevo in 2019 and a pandemic intermezzo, the Directors' Fortnight, Bando a Parte and DW join to continue the adventure this coming year with North Portugal Factory. This Factory is supported by the ICA, RTP, FILMAPORTO, Câmara Municipal do Porto et Câmara Municipal do Guimarães, Agência da Curta Metragem, Curtas Vila do Conde ISFF and Olho de Vidro on the Portuguese side, and Cineli Digital on the French one. We are proud to present, within the framework of La Quinzaine des Cinéastes, the fruit of these exchanges, 3 short films co-written and co-directed by 3 tandems of young directors from Northern Portugal, Israel, Spain and Iran.

      Directors' Factory North Portugal films will be screened at the Théâtre Croisette, at 12:30 on Wednesday May 17, day of the opening of the 55th edition of Directors Fortnight.
