    • Synopsis
    • Wake up, go on a date, attend to a bedridden mother, go to work: nothing more than mundane concerns of two unrelated youngsters, intertwined with the news of a suicidal schoolgirl. At first sight Darkness In Light merely showcases drab fragments of everyday life, but as night creeps in, the long-repressed anger is going to strike back and rock the boat. Cleverly utilising lighter and firework as motif, the short film reflects on the hopelessness and pessimism of our young people. As a short film running less than 10 minutes, it leaves just sufficient suggestions for the total emotional effect to blossom, like a flower slowly revealing itself when the film is over.
