- Synopsis
- DANIEL follows the daily plight of the prisoners in captivity and the situation of Daniel’s ever more desperate family back home in Denmark. Though Daniel’s story, the film offers a unique insight into how human beings survive torture, forge friendships and maintain a sense of hope under the most extreme, inhumane conditions. It also shows how Daniel’s parents deal with the fear that they may never see their son alive again as they conduct nerve-racking ransom negotiations with Islamic State.
