    • Synopsis
    • Flora, a British-Albanian journalist, has always believed that her father she had never met, was a poet wasted in the lime holes of the communist dictatorship together with his poems. But when she turns back to her birth town to write an article on the childhood of Mother Theresa, a complete stranger who tried to commit suicide hanging himself up in her house, tells Flora the past of her life story that she differently knew.

The stranger named Zigur, is an ex informer operative, once an peeping watcher of "the poetry saloon", as her mother Dizzy had transformed the house. But Zigur had a particularity, he was an informer operative in love.

Zigur uncovers to her that her mother Dizzy, a charming libertine dancer, had refused his love. And then, she was raped by the man on the qui vive of the house under the authority of the secret police. It figures out exactly that Flora is his daughter... Zigur's daughter.

Flora starts seeing differently her life and her mother's life, under this new fact. She understands that her mother had made up an imaginary father that belonged to freedom so as she would not feel as much the heavy weight of the violent reality that she has always pushed Flora to escape.

In a shocking dilemma, Flora will have to choose between the two fathers, the one that physically conceived her and the other one that inspired Flora her whole life, in the road to freedom. Her decision is point-blank: she is the daughter of freedom.

Zigur hangs up himself. The article on Mother Theresa fails as no trace of her is conserved. While Flora's life and the memory of Dizzy are not the same...
