- Synopsis
- In a dark world under the control of an artificial intelligence, the rich live on the upper levels of a city, while the poor live below. Lower level dwellers are pelted with toxic rain generated by contaminated waste discharged from above, a byproduct of the comfortable lifestyle of the upper level residents.
  
  One day, a beautiful android named Hitomi Kisaragi falls from the sky to the polluted earth. She has been installed with the memories of the flesh-and-blood daughter of her creator, Dr. Kisaragi. When she meets Seiji Hayami, a journalist born and raised on the lower levels, the wheels of fate begin to turn.
