    • Synopsis
    • Addy, an artist who makes her living as a dominatrix is fresh off a break-up. Her best friend Joyce convinces Addy to get out of her malaise and join her for an underground rap party taking place in the industrial part of Brooklyn. At the party, Addy hits it off with Kamaal, a young rapper who is returning to the scene after spending the last few months cramming for his college exams. Later that weekend, when Kamaal and his buddy recap the night with Addy on the basketball court, they get a visit from Tig, a gangster from their old neighborhood who just got out on parole. Tig is there specifically to settle a score with Kamaal, and we get the feeling that the reason why he was in jail to begin with was because of Kamaal. Surprisingly, rather than revenge, Tig wants to settle the score by using Kamaal's talent to help him break into the music industry. He explains that he met a white collar criminal in prison whose son is a breakout electronic musician. Without giving him much choice, Tig tells Kamaal that he'll be collaborating with this musician to release a mixtape, get famous, and make it so Tig never has to return to the criminal world again; the only catch being, that he is neck deep in it right now. When Kamaal unwittingly gets embroiled in the criminal aspect of Tig's enterprise, Addy comes to the rescue.
