- Johnny Boy, a once-promising Italian-American filmmaker, has hit rock bottom. His addictions to alcohol, sex, and gambling have cost him everything he once held dear, including his career and his family. As he reflects on his life and the mistakes he's made, Johnny cruises around in his iconic red Ford Falcon convertible. Flashbacks reveal his struggle and obsession with his life as a filmmaker. Despite his best efforts, Johnny's life continues to spiral out of control, and he finds himself in increasingly dangerous situations. He turns to hustling and gambling to make ends meet and even becomes involved in an unexpected relationship with a young woman in the sex industry.
