- Synopsis
- When two young Americans find out their Mexican pal has been deported, they decide to smuggle him back across the border. Surprised at how easy it was, the friends become professional human smugglers, or “coyotes”. As the business consumes more of their time, they find this “quick scheme” is affecting them in personal ways. The obsessive Steve is driven further away from his loving fiancé, while Mexican-American J. is brought close to a young Mexican woman. This escalates into a lucrative, full-time business venture that becomes more complicated than they ever realized possible. Corruption and greed lead the men down a path of brutal destruction and despair.
