    • Synopsis
    • Counter histories explores a group of nine African-American men that attended received nationwide attention in the early 1960s after staging a sit-in at a segregated lunch counter. These men took on the weight of discrimination under the banner of non-violence and 'Jail No Bail,' choosing prison overpaying bail to the state and reversing the financial burden, as the white authorities were forced to pay for jail space and food.
