    • Synopsis
    • A young Canadian Diplomatic couple Maya and Michael arrive in New Delhi on their first overseas posting – Maya of East Indian heritage is the Diplomat, Michael of Finnish descent is a professional chef. With their new home they inherit 60-year-old cook Stella, a genial chef beyond compare, but also a genial looking petty crook beyond compare! Maya and Michael are won over by wily Stella and embrace her into their family as she secretly steals from their lauders.
But things quickly change for Stella, her chief accomplice is caught stealing by Michael and fired and Stella’s plan of finally retiring are shattered. And worse, the accomplice is replaced by Tannu, a young rural woman filled with the zeal of honesty, but morally diametrically opposite to Stella.
Stella with increasing frustration tries to bring morally upright Tannu to her side. When reasoning does not work, Stella enlists the aid of her young handsome nephew Anthony to enchant Tannu. Slowly Tannu begins to waiver and she becomes charmed by Anthony and wants desperately to compete with the very urban Anthony.
With Tannu now alongside Stella, the stage is set for a big scam – the fake kidnapping of Stella herself. It is a sure fire plan to secure Stella’s retirement and a good start for the young lovers. But when earnest Maya and Michael try to find the kidnappers, the best laid plans begin to unravel.
