- Synopsis
- "Coming soon, last days" shows the difficulties of an alternative cinema that, with an artistic and social vocation, aims to project entertainment films while promoting criticism, reflection and art, giving voice to minorities, promoting small projects and promoting auteur and combatant cinema. The new cultural and consumer paradigm and a complex participatory model make its subsistence very difficult.
  
  Javi, Miguel, Vero, Marco, Marta, Miguel Ángel and Cristina are some of the people who insist every day on not letting this cinematographic oasis dry up. We will delve into the bowels of the cinema through systematic monitoring of workers and the board of directors in general assemblies, committee and board meetings, trips to to see negotiations with distributors, meetings with political institutions seeking for funding, assistance at the European Film Market in Berlin to promote meetings with other similar European cinemas, etc.
  
  Meanwhile, every day this cinema show movies in which sometimes only a single spectator attends the projection while in the back room the projectionists hardly have the material and tools to change the light bulbs.
  
  The documentary will accompany these romantics in their battle to keep alive a sacred space for all film lovers but without necessarily agreeing on the how or what.
