- Synopsis
- Alberto (36), a gardener who works in the city, travels to his hometown to attend the funeral of his deceased father, killed by a policeman. Upon arrival, he finds that there is no burial, but a three day ritual to mourn and celebrate his death. This ritual, with Catholic and African roots, is considered satanic and immoral to the new beliefs of Alberto, now a devotee of the protestant church. During these days of celebrations, Alberto will have another setback; his family announces their true desire for him, to avenge the death of his father. Overwhelmed, Alberto is lost in the repetition of small town life, his thoughts confront different gods  and the idea of murder presents itself as the only solution to restore some kind of order.
