CLOSED EYES portrays a woman the day she is forced to accept an event that inevitably will change her life. Her boyfriend is diagnosed with a serious illness and to avoid that this will be an integrated part of her reality, she pushes the idea of illness away again and again. She does this by closing her eyes as she disappears into small pockets of happiness which she has constructed. These imaginations inside her head distract her and make her forget reality. The imaginations are momentary events and suppressed wishes of things she never managed to do. She imagines that she is dealing with everything the right way, but when reality starts to interact with the imaginations, they start to loose their effect. By the end they do not work at all and she realises that running away won't help.
