    • Synopsis
    • Maria Auxiliadora Lara Barcellos was a political activist, who fought against the Brazilian dictatorship in the 1960s. She was arrested, tortured and banned from Brazil. She committed suicide, in Berlin, in 1976. “Clandestine Soul” is a sensory and emotional film. It´s a biography, and also an immersion in the complexity of her soul, clandestine throughout a big part of her life.

The world´s recent history is always underlying the microcosm of this soul, in an urgent and crucial film for Brazil today and for the extreme paths the world seems to take.
