    • Synopsis
    • CHRONICALLY METROPOLITAN is a cynical and clever coming of age film about first time novelist Fenton Dillane, who, unannounced returns to New York City to confront his family, his ex- girlfriend and a few lingering childhood fears.
Following his famous father, CHRISTOPHER’S, tabloid worthy car wreck involving co-eds and lobsters, Fenton reappears ready to reclaim his lost love, JESSIE who unbeknownst to him, is engaged to be married to VICTOR: an art star with close ties to Bjork. Fenton enlists his head strong sister LAYLA and his drug dealing best friend JOHN to win Jessie back. His actions set in motion a chain of events that effect the lives of everyone around him in surprising and unexpected ways.
Set in present day Manhattan, CHRONICALLY METROPOLITAN, is about friendship, love and the perils of the literary life. A comedy for the “oughts” which embraces that most difficult rite of passage -- actually being older.
