    • Synopsis
    • The main objective of the Nazi's ideology was the establishment of Third Reich that they expected to last 1000 years and be ruled by a master race. They created special National Political Institutes of Education (the Napola) to educate and train the children who would become its new elite, which this documentary investigates. The ideal Napola Student was of pure Aryan origin, physically fit and strong, of above average intelligence, with the will and ability to seek leadership positions. Life in the schools was highly competitive and frequently brutal where degrading initiation rituals were commonplace. Many died as child soldiers in the latter stages of World War II. The filmmakers interview surviving former Napola students who describe vividly their experiences and how it impacted their later lives.
