Djemila (Rachida Brakni) finally got the right to leave her parents home to set alone in a new apartment nearby. She is a perfect executive, and erases as much as possible her Algerian origins. Emma (Isabelle Carré), her next-door neighbor, a young widow, struggles to raise alone her two kids, playing hide and seek with bailiffs. The encounter between the successful assimilated and the native French is electric. But the love of music ends up building a strong friendship that will lead them both to overcome their inner contradictions. Each of two young women finds entitlement for moving forwards to a fulfilling life.
