CASEY & MARY is the explosive second feature from British writer/director HEIDI GREENSMITH. Following on from her award winning debut WINTER Greensmith tackles the damaged and the heartbroken once again but this time with a predominantly female cast, a large helping of comedy, and more than a nod to the western.

CASEY HOOPER and MARY ROSE are childhood friends from the working class housing estates of South East England. Both in their late teens they work as chambermaids in a grand Hotel. Mary is vivacious, daring and charismatic, spinning through life surviving day to day since her parents abandoned her as a little girl when they overdosed in the family car. Casey, quiet and thoughtful, always trying to rise above the madness of her dysfunctional and abusive family, violent slob of a step father DANNY DOWN and small time gangster step brother BRUCE DOWN, to make something of herself.
To say these girls need a break is an understatement. So, whilst cleaning the hotel’s penthouse suit they find a dead rock star in the form of MARILYN MANSON they could be forgiven for not reporting the body to the management, or the police, locking the door and embarking on a series of risqué selfies as though he were still alive and kicking, couldn’t they? No, Casey’s wicked brother Bruce didn’t think so either. After he puts the fear of bejeezus into them and the sound of police sirens approach, their guilt turns to panic, and they run.

Stowing away in the cab of a long distance tour bus driver who happens to be a serial abuser probably wasn’t the smartest move and once they are hundreds of miles from home waking up and staring into his deranged face, they become desperate and the driver becomes dead.

When the girls stumble out of the bus in a panic with a man’s blood on their hands, they find they are not in England on their way to London, but in Spain on the way to...“what the fuck are we doin’ in Spain?” Making one wrong turn after another, the girls are pursued by a growing collection of misfits including Bruce and Danny Down, crack smoking vigilante INSPECTOR DAVENPORT, perverted Spanish police chief INSPECTOR GARCIA, and angry pimp and club owners THE DUKE & THE DUCHESS.

Now wanted killers, help comes in the form of hostage turned new best friend Texan fugitive LIONEL, and Casey and Mary do everything they can to stay loyal, stay together and stay alive.
