- Synopsis
- In 1980, in the suburbs near Paris, Malakoff, a multicultural city, lives the Seydou family, a modest African family living in a low-income housing project in the northern district.
  Aminata, a housewife and single woman, raises her six children, Mamadou, Keita, Aïcha, Boubakar, Setou and Isaac, the youngest, aged 10.
  On the way to school, Isaac meets Caroline, who is 10 years old and lives in the suburban neighborhood near his building.
  The two children meet regularly, their bond is strengthened and a platonic love story is born.
  One day at school, Caroline collapsed on the playground, victim of a heart attack. She was rushed to the hospital, but was barely saved after a major heart operation, which left her scarred and somewhat fragile.
  This incident that he witnessed had marked him a lot. But shortly after Caroline's parents decided to leave Malakoff for Marseille, Isaac and Caroline separated.
  The years passed, Isaac became of age, he now lives in Paris and has a promising career as an artist, then a love relationship with Zoë.
  One day, after several years of silence and without news, Isaac received a letter from Caroline.
  This letter reminded him of so many good things, but it was also the one that triggered the violent argument between him and Zoë.
  Following this argument Isaac decides to go and find Caroline.
