    • Synopsis
    • Sebastian was born in exile, his father died when he was very young and seeks to know the origin of his family, but there is no family alive.
      There is where he decides to take a trip back the way his grandfather did fleeing the Spanish civil war, trying to restore some of that lost memory.
      He will discover the same story over and over; hundreds of thousands of people and their families escape from Franco’s regim throughout Spain, crossing the Pyrenees to take refuge in France. In regugee camp, in France, Modesto’s father was born. But oblivion has covered everything… Europe has lost its memory and there are few traces of his grandfathers history by that place.
      He soon realizes that finding specific data and places is impossible, everything is lost, just platitudes and predictable stories of the last elders living.
      Sebastián decides to leave the particular search and goes with intuition by his side, following his own path. On the way, trying to trace the pattern of his grandfather’s exile, he begins to observe this contemporary Spain, wandering through the villages always with the eyes of his own personal history. He wonders about the fate of a country that has decided to hide the past, erase it from a stroke perhaps as happened to him with his own story.
