    • Synopsis
    • Once a year the US embassy opens the Green Card Lottery for families to apply.
      Assad, the best fixer in town, creates fake families out of dispersed refugees. He gives a chance to those who don’t have one: to a runaway bride, a prostitute, a single father, a former war lord and many more. Assad writes a script and coaches them until their story is truly believable. Because only the best story will get them to the United States.
      In doing so, Assad achieves much more than just a new life for his fake families. He instills hope in all of them.
