- The true story of the young Pioneer hero from Virovitica, Bosko Buha and his friends is the moving story of the interrupted childhood of the youngest generation who participated in the national liberation struggle of World War II. Exposed to the horrors of war, they grew into adults. They exchanged their toys and games for a responsibility and maturity that come too soon. During pauses in the fighting, exhausted by the marching, that responsibility and maturity was again transformed into toys, games, and pretending…In the shadow of death…
