    • Synopsis
    • Bootleg is a feminist dramatic comedy that takes place in present-day Cairo. Roukaya is an outwardly obedient Egyptian Muslim woman living in Canada in an unsatisfactory marriage. She discovers sexual pleasure through sex toys. She decides to go back to Egypt and, together with two other women, starts a risky underground sex toy manufacturing business. As the business blooms, it attracts unwanted attention.
