- Synopsis
- Abkhazia is a self-proclaimed sovereign state occupied by Russia and separated from the rest of Georgia by a barbed-wire border. Between the romanticised vision of a lost territory and that of a country scarred by a fratricidal war, the film follows the daily lives of two families living on either side of the administrative line, weaving together a bitter history, a fragile present and the possibility of re-imagining the future through a very special vision of the world, that of children for whom dreams are not limited to the uncertain reality on the ground.
