- Synopsis
- Tamaki Tsuru’s heart is all aflutter at the prospect of going to college in Tokyo. "I want to experience a love that sparkles!" She gushes. Little does she know that the spark of love she will feel will come from the sky. Arriving from Nagasaki with her wishful mantra is Tamaki Tsuru, who in high school could think only about volleyball. Things don’t begin well, however, when she looks for an extracurricular club to join and proceeds to immediately ding a glider at aviation club tryouts ending up having to work it off. She is initially disillusioned with campus life. Then there is the club leader and glider pilot, Kuramochi, who takes Tamaki under his wing, and from the moment he takes her up for a flight in a glider, Tamaki becomes a captive of the vast beauty of the skies.
  
  Tamaki joins the club, but shirks from competitive events due to bitter memories from her past. Still, whenever she takes flight, she can’t help but become completely enthralled by the world she finds there, and vows to get better at navigating it. Before long, she has forged bonds of kinship with her fellow club members and senior schoolmates as they encourage each other to achieve their lofty goals. Here, she may have found the rich collegiate life she had longed for. Tamaki hurtles across the sky carrying the dreams and aspirations of everyone around her. But in her path ahead she must still contend with past trauma, new rivals and sudden farewell. Can she and her friends in love with the sky navigate the dark clouds ahead and break into the clear skies astride the miraculous Blue Thermal?
