    • Synopsis
    • Competing in a Snowdonia hill race with friends, student Lauren is accompanied by her older, secretive boyfriend David - who dies in a car crash, leaving her a flash drive which she resolves to keep safe.

Whatever’s on that drive is dangerous. Soon one of her friends is shot dead, and Lauren’s a fugitive in the mountains of North Wales. Hunted by MI6 operatives who say David was a traitor, battling weather and hostile countryside, scared and alone. All that keeps her alive are the survival skills that David taught her, and a determination to clear his name.

Sheltering at an isolated weed farm ran by amateurs, Lauren accesses the data. It’s from Blindside Bay, an MI6 listening station nearby. When the farm comes under fire and her allies are picked off, Lauren finds the desperate courage to kill their attacker – and heads to Blindside Bay to uncover the truth.

But all she finds at the listening station are bodies. Faked social media frames her as a terrorist, a patsy for MI6’s crimes: and David is still alive.

Confronting him during her escape, a furious, betrayed Lauren is forced to kill the man she loves. Her old life is gone, and so is the old Lauren but now she is a fugitive.
