Successful historian professor Anton Kosmich (Eugeny Swartz) finds himself drawn into the whirlpool of detective-mystical events that originate in the first half of the XVII century and are associated with the theft of the treasury of conspirators who raised an uprising against the Polish king. In the ancient Gospel, which falls into the hands of Anton and his friend Maryan, there is an epistle to descendants, written 400 years ago, this is the key leading to the missing treasury. After the mysterious murder of Maryan, of which Anton is accused, he has to investigate the events associated with the ancient legend of the Black Castle of the Olshansky Princes and engage in a fight with the descendant of the Olshansky, the psychiatrist Lyganovsky (Eugeny Stichkin), obsessed with the search for missing treasures.
