    • Synopsis
    • It has been eight years since Towako broke up with the smooth-talking Kurosaki and still she can’t forget the memory of his touch. Day in and day out, as she lies about at home neither working nor keeping house, her mind replays the excitement of their long-past relationship. Kurosaki is a far cry from Jinji, the man Towako currently lives with. While a hard worker and seemingly dedicated to Towako, Jinji wallows in the crass lifestyle of a common blue-collar worker, which does little to satisfy Towako. Worse, the sharp-tonged Towako is quick to remind Jinji at almost every waking moment just how far he falls short of being a decent partner.

Unsatisfied with her life, Towako begins an affair with Mizushima, a man whose words and mannerism bring to mind the memory of Kurosaki. Soon, she is swept away by the married Mizushima and his promise to leave his wife so the two of them can live an idyllic, romantic life together.

In the meanwhile, Towako calls Kurosaki in a moment of weakness, only to hang up right away. The next day she is visited by the police. Towako is told that Kurosaki had gone missing eight years ago and that her call flagged their response. Shocked to learn that not only has Kurosaki been missing all this time, he also had a wife and child. In an attempt to uncover the reason behind his disappearance, Towako visits Kurosaki’s wife. The things is, the more Towako delves into the past, the more she begins to wonder if the seemingly meek Jinji might have had a hand in Kurosaki’s disappearance and, worse, may be planning the same fate for her newest love-interest.
