Bilesuvar begins with the passing images of a tasteless landscape in the suburbs of Azerbaijan. Soon, a young man enlisting in the military is spending boring days feeling an unknown future and his own uneasy presence. As the enlistment day approaches, the relationship with his girlfriend becomes awkward. A teacher at a small school in the suburbs hesitates to meet a friend who has made a lot of money in Russia because he is not very proud of his poor living condition. In addition, the desires and despair of citizens living like shadows are revealed by following stories of a corrupt artist, impassable affairs, and a performer who wants more popularity than talent. The depiction of loosely connected relationships based on mistrust brings authentic cinematic expression of individual weakness.
