    • A film based on the childhood of Stephan Kim Sou-hwan (a.k.a Soonhan), a Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church. Cardinal Kim was selected as one of the 14 missionary models from Catholic history in the year 2000.

      How can we fill the inner emptiness of humanity? Nothing can help but God. In the 1860s, when Catholicism was prohibited in Korea, eight-year-old Soonhan’s grandfather is martyred for his faith. Since then, his father has been working as a potter and suffering from chronic disease and longtime poverty with his family. His mother both of her sons to grow up to be priests. Soonhan's brother decides to follow his mother’s wishes, but he doesn’t, thus Soonhan is left behind when his family leaves for church school. While waiting for his mother to come back, he finds himself, discovering how to fill the emptiness and setting off on a long journey beyond the hill that has so far marked the edge of his world.
