- Synopsis
- Odessa, 25 years old, spend holidays on Ikaria island with her grandmother Lydia. She meets new friends : Louis and Jules, two brothers who rent scooters.
  On the other side of the island, in a luxurious hotel, stay Celtia with her husband Thomas and their little girl Zoula.
  Everything seems normal on Ikaria in this particularly hot summer.
  Nevertheless the world is radically going to change within 24 hours.
  During the hottest night of the year, while the tourists have a lot of difficulty to sleep in the clammy heat, a strange fluorescent fog floats over the port's waters. In this strange night, all the boats disappear from the surface of the globe.
  In the early lights of days, invisible things, « CUMS », - only detectable by the wet imprints of their Immense webbed feet - go out of the sea. One by one, all the inhabitants die in a strangest way: they are flooded in the middle of the street, in their car, in their house before disappearing mysteriously.
  Within hours, Cums sink into lands and eliminate all the human beings they meet.
  Only those who are lucky enough to remain motionless without speaking and those who are in contact of fresh water - swimming pools, showers, brook - escape strangely this first wave of terror. They are going to realize that they will need to use trickery and ingenuity to escape and survive these marine monsters the assaults of which multiply.
  How long will Odessa and her friends manage to resist?
