    • Synopsis
    • An ice road is like a ghost road – nobody knows where it will appear. According to Estonian tradition, an ice road is built every year for use by cars and pedestrians. This is the story of a coastal people and also a reflection of our society.

      An ice road is part of their everyday experience: Ivo is the mayor, Raivo is a road master, and Taavi is descended from the seal hunters of Prangli Island. Sometimes, the sea freezes over, and there is no differentiating the continent, the sea and the island. It all becomes one planet, harboring the hopes and fears of its people.
