    • Synopsis
    • Ricky has a dream: to make Staff Benda Bilili the biggest band in the Congo.
      Searching the streets of Kinshasa on his customized wheelchair, he meets Roger, a child of the streets. He takes in the young prodigy and includes him amongst his musicians. United, they deal with the hardships of street life, finding in their music a reason for hope.
      During five years, right from their initial sessions to their triumph in music festival circuits world over, BENDA BILILI, or “beyond appearances” in English, tells us the story of this dream and its transformation to reality.
