    • Synopsis
    • This movie is about one of the most powerful voices in the world, Amália Rodrigues.
Amália was born in a poor family in Portugal. Soon, her way to sing fado music became the face of Portugal.
For five decades Amália Rodrigues's story has been bathed by the Atlantic Ocean Shores. Living between what was once a metropolis and a colony, this very special voice and talented singer had an intense international career while living the transition to the post-colonial world.
This documentary investigates lesser-known aspects of her life in Brazil and the challenges of representing Portuguese traditional music in the face of Brazilian modernity. Music dialogues will be proposed with younger artist generations to bring new audiences this woman and her musical style story, which has evolved culturally by crossing several oceans.
One of the most distinguished voices of the 20th Century, the woman who represented a music style and belonged to the world in its "made in Brazil" version.
