    • Synopsis
    • Andrés Bazán Frías was born in the Los Siete Lotes neighborhood, Villa Alem, in San Miguel de Tucumán at the end of the 19th century. Surrounded by poverty, he began to steal food to distribute among the people of his neighborhood. For a murder he was sentenced to prison. Tired of the brutal beatings, he managed an unexpected incident: escape from prison. In 1923 he was killed by the police when he was trying to climb a wall of the West Cemetery.
Today it is buried in the Cemetery of the North, cemetery of the popular classes of Tucumán. Become a kind of Robin Hood, for some is a popular saint, with his grave full of thanks and requests. Holy of the prisoners, those who must be locked up to "reinsert", those who have no voice or are part of the official story.
A century after his death, it is the inmates of the Villa Urquiza Prison who decide to be part of a workshop to act the life of this bandit. In the follow-up of his representation, we were able to identify points in common with the life of Bazán. There, in an overpopulated prison, the history of this rebel is rebuilt by the delinquents of Tucumán, children of marginality and the sumptuous difference between social classes. Together, we who make this film and they, we wonder if those who break the law are today rebels against the system.
The film seeks to delve into the underlying problem of crime. We as filmmakers propose that this problem is based on capitalism itself, therefore it is a problem of the system of a falsely meritocratic society where not everyone can access the promises of the system itself. Through there are different edges as the decision to commit a crime, oppression of the popular classes, what social stratum come from those who are imprisoned, police and criminal violence, among other issues, reaching to try to claim the crime as an act of rebellion against imposed capitalism.
