    • Synopsis
    • The film starts at the eve of the battle: Serbian Prince Lazar refuses to submit to the Turkish Sultan Murat, who advances towards Serbia with numerous forces, in order to continue his march on Europe, after he has finished with Serbia. Although being aware that the Turkish army outnumbers his men, Prince Lazar decides to resist the advancing forces. It is not the question of a military victory or defeat, but of obtaining moral victory, no matter what the outcome on the battlefield may be. Serbian potentates are disunited - the majority is for the fight and resistance, even at the price of defeat, but some hesitate. The battle of Kosovo was not a defeat but a victory – however not for the Serbian state, which fell in the hands of Turks soon thereafter, but for Europe, which Serbia defend with the bodies of its heroes on the field of Kosovo, saving it from the first and strongest wave of the Turkish invasion.
